The radiator removes heat from the engine coolant and helps keep the engine at the correct operating temperature. Air flows through the radiator while driving, with the cooling fan providing additional airflow when needed. A properly functioning radiator is essential for effective engine cooling. When choosing a replacement car radiator, make sure it matches your vehicle’s specifications.
Which radiator fits your car?
The correct radiator depends on your vehicle’s make, model, year and engine variant. Compare the OE reference number, core dimensions, mounting points and the position and diameter of the hose connections. The transmission type and whether your vehicle has air conditioning can also affect compatibility. Where applicable, check that the connections for an integrated transmission oil cooler match the original radiator.
When should you replace a radiator?
Coolant leaks, corrosion or physical damage may make radiator replacement necessary. Internal blockages or badly damaged cooling fins can reduce heat dissipation and cause engine temperature to rise. However, overheating can also result from a faulty thermostat, water pump or cooling fan. Have the cooling system checked before replacing components.
Browse the radiators in this category and compare the product specifications to find the right replacement for your car.
